So you decide you want solar, That's great! The first step is to get in touch. We will then arrange a time to come out to your home and gather the required information that we need in order to appropriately size a solar energy system. This information typically includes the following:
After we gather all the required information, we will then propose a custom designed solar energy system based on the electrical usage and available space, maximizing your generation potential. In the proposal, we will spell out the cost of the system, how the system will be paid for, and the return on investment. Fret not, when we reach this point, we take the time to sit down with you and go over the proposal and into the details of how we came up with our numbers. Keep in mind that our goal is never to sell you anything; we just want to provide you with enough information for you to be able to make an educated decision.
As a turnkey solar service provider, we take care of everything for you. All system designs comply with the National Electric Code and abide by local rules and regulations. Upon review, modification, and approval of your system design, all construction permits will be obtained and equipment will be ordered. Throughout this whole process, we are with you and in constant communication every step of the way, to keep you well informed, and to make sure you are comfortable with everything right from the start.
Upon arrival of the solar modules and parts, our professional crew will begin installing your photovoltaic solar system. Our crews arrive each day and work in a respectful and courteous manner. They will leave the site clean each evening.
A typical installation will take 1-3 days depending on size and complexity.
Residential solar power systems are typically roof mounted. The solar power panels are mounted on a racking system which is attached to the roof; however we can build custom structures and ground mount systems, to maximize your the energy generated by your solar installation.
Upon completion of your solar system, you will receive a "Warranty Package" that consists of system drawings, warranty information, self-maintenance instructions, product specifications, and instructions on how to inspect your solar system for optimal energy generation.
You're never alone. Comerford Solar will be available 24/7 to support your system's ongoing operation, address post installation concerns, and help analyze your system's performance throughout the warranty period.

A nice house, a clean design... when Nick Donzelli and Mike Comerford put their heads together, they came up with a shining example of what a solar design could be functionally, financially, and aesthetically.
